Great deck. I like how in Commander you can have different builds for any given commander. You use Dakkon in a control deck, and it works because he sits back and gets big, whereas mine is more of a Voltron deck that is all about getting in there for the damage! Check it out:

It is great to see people who still understand the format of commander, and what it was intended for. I for one am tired of the overpowered decks that are out there now that the less casual crowd is playing, and also as a player who started in early 94 love some of your choices. So bravo sir!

I love all the lore and history in this deck , especially Serra Angel , creature that is , one might say , below average in EDH . But it is one of my favorite creatures . I still put it in my casual deck , and I just made a R/W EDH deck , and I had to put her in . Love the wee lass :D

But , even though this dack has a strong flavor , it also seems powerful enough to give a beating in a "serious" game .
Kudos for brewing this , MIke :)

I'm glad you appreciate that, because the "historical" aspect is one of the most important factors behind many cards that ended up in the deck. I get the feeling I'm going to get a fair number of comments on GatheringMagic and YouTube along the lines of "why do you have so many crappy old cards in here?", "play Sen Triplets at the commander instead", etc., but screw them, they don't understand the deck like we do.

This is a sweet deck full of nostalgia and history. With Mike as "the game lore guy," it's not strange to see the deck full of old cards with back stories, like the Serra Angel/Sengir Vampire duality, and Chromium in there. Maybe it's not optimized for duels.. maybe more like historical preservation. Haha
