I am still amazed by the amount of responses we are STILL getting on all these questions we’ve asked. If you haven’t answered those yet, please do – after you answer this one, of course! What’s this one? Enchantments! I need all of you to give us an enchantment of some sort in the comments, along with a reason why. There are only two rules:
1. No repeats. If someone else has already used the one you had your heart set on…tough. You should have been faster. Come up with something else.
B. Nothing from a non-tournament-legal set. That translates in layman’s terms as follows: No cards from Unglued or Unhinged. If you were dead set on giving us Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire…just don’t.
So that’s it. Any other criteria are purely up to you. Aura, World Enchantment, good old run-of-the-mill enchantment, good, bad, or ugly. Whatever reason you want to use is fine with us, just tell us what it is in your comment!

Enchanted Evening. An enchantment that turns everything into enchantments and has “enchant” in its name. This card just blew some stoner’s mind.
Barren Glory
I’ve always been fond of alternate win conditions. It makes a victory feel so amazing. This one happens to be one of the hardest… and the art is so epic
Wow, This was a hard one, Enchantments are by far and away my favourite permanent type in Magic, But I think I’m going to have to settle for an old favourite.
Homarid spawning bed.
This enchantment has been an allstar for me for a good long time, a copy of this is tossed in basically every blue EDH I own and atleast a singleton into my Blue 60 Card Decks. The Card is just absurd, in many ways. It gives blue Repeatable token generation, (And good repeatable token generation at that) and a sac outlet, which blue would normally have to dip into colourless for.
Secondly it works great with some of the worst creatures (Or best in my opinion) Blue has to offer, mainly my previous pick Scornful Egotist, any and or all Kraken like creatures and the Vizerdrix because come on now, who doesn’t love some Bunny Piranha’s.
And lastly, I don’t know if anyones told you yet? But Homarids and what I assume is there offspring (The Camerid) are awesome. They are the true Masters of the Multiverse, Wizards only printed Mistform Ultimus and the Changelings because they wanted to give Homarids more support (Yes don’t laugh you know it’s true).
This enchantment is awesome, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Copy Enchantment. Many a-time have I “forked” an Oblivion Ring (which, if I hadn’t thought of Copy Enchantment, was my first choice). It’s extremely versatile, like every other Clone, and is quite easy to cast as well. So you have a Mana Reflection out? Well, I spend half the amount of mana for the same thing.
Burning Vengeance.
Because it’s the next card I’m gonna try to break.
Recycle
Its green, do green things, recycle, save the planet, play some stuff, play more cards, save more planet, be green!
Holistic Wisdom. A nice flexible card that enables you to optimize your cards in hand… and if setup right, makes every draw a “live draw”.

Warstorm Surge
So many times have I played an Arc Runner, attacked and Flung for 15 damage and the win.
Rancor
A nice, efficient card. Wanted some for a while so was happen when it was reprinted in the Garruk duel deck so I could get some.
I particularly like it in Commander as games are longer and creatues are more likely to get destroyed, so card reuse is always welcome.
Dang, Jfd. You took the one I wanted to use. But fear not. Debtors’ Knell. Possibly one of the “swingiest” cards ever printed. The tempo you can gain off of this thing is unreal and the fact that it can pluck something out of anyone’s graveyard is still mind boggling to me. Great enchantment with a great ability.
How’s about a plain Boar Umbra? For the same mana cost as Oakenform, you get temporary indestructibility!! It’s great!!! When all the Umbra’s come out in Rise of the Eldrazi, I thought the never got their due because Totem Armor is just so strong, but overshadowed by Annihilator. Every Commander deck can use an Umbra to protect the general.
Angelic Destiny
It’s just so much fun to see the look on my opponents face when he sees I’m playing white infect.
Then it gets even better when his or her jaw drops on turn 5.

Rhystic Study. *dodges thrown rocks* Yep, Rhystic study. I don’t care if that makes me a terrible person, I love it. It draws me so many cards AND it allows me to annoy the crap out of everyone at the table until someone kills it. And then I poutyface.
Humility. Not only is the art hilariously wired, but so is the card. “All your cards are pretty nifty. Not any more!” * maniacal laugh*
Jace’s Erasure! Cornerstone of my Mil deck, and it gets the job done quite well.
Maelstrum Nexus obviously, how can you not have fun with that card?
Perilous Forays.
It’s super-utilitarian in the right decks, and a card that lets you search for land while featuring huge tracts of land in the art is hilarious.
Lurking Predators. Your opponents are giving you creatures!
PACIFISM
I started playing magic with a mono-white deck and this card was my best card (imagine that), so Pacifism will forever hold a special place in my mana-filled MTG heart.
Phyrexian Arena
-Howling mines are good but a Howling mine for just you is even better. ALthough it costs you 1 life a turn the benfits outway the pain
Eldrazi Conscription
When ROE came out, I was discussing the Vorthosian elements with my really cool 9 year old son. I was describing these gigantic titans that were ruining Zendikar, when he then (quite logically) asks me what the smallest creature in Magic was. I told him it was Little Girl from one of the Un sets. It is a 0.5/0.5 for 0.5 white mana.
That day, I vowed to make a deck that would only kill my opponent by conscipting a Little Girl as an Eldrazi monster! 10.5/10.5 trampling, annihilating monstrosity!! After describing the deck idea to my LGS, the Magic guy just gave me the Little Girls (man, that sounds weird)and the rest is history. The deck rarely works, but when it does, I giggle like a …. you know.
