Episode 529 – Weird Legends

No we’re not talking about spooky stories, we’re doing a Mythic Conscription for Legends! And Legends is REALLY weird. Seriously. Legends was the third Magic expansion ever. It was the first set to introduce legendary cards and multicolored cards, so it makes sense that they hadn’t exactly gotten a handle on it yet.

You’ll also get to hear about how we survived the latest hurricane and Brian’s sick Guilds draft!

Seriously, Legends was super weird.

Come join us in the future! The show will be live on Thursdays around 8pm(ish) Eastern time on twitch.tv/themanapool

Another excellent Mythic Conscription. Legends is a hard set to tackle, since it was so old and the color pie was for multicolored cards was so ill defined.
I think it might have even been fair to pick uncommons, since some of them were pretty splashy. But following your rules, some of my picks would have included Dakkon Blackblade, Hazezon Tamar, In the Eye of Chaos, Rasputin Dreamweaver, and of course Wood Elemental.
Looking forward to the next set you dive into, would love to hear another History of X episode. Maybe on a creature type, the Ages of Design or how Wizards has chosen to tell narratives in Magic. Maybe you have an even better idea.
Thanks for all the hard work,
    Ryan
