Episode 491 – Rivals of Insanity

ep491

The dorks are back! We have returned from our holiday break just in time to take a look at the insane cards from Rivals of Ixalan! Seriously, have you looked at these? There’s a lot of concentrated awesome going on here. The mythics seem to be nuts. We have a cycle of Elder Dinosaurs.

Elder.

Dinosaurs.

So awesome!

I just saw an interaction that you guys might find funny:

Form of the Dinosaur’s damage effect is sequential, not simultaneous. So, if the 15 damage causes the damaged creature’s power to change (say, with Wither or Soul-Scar Mage), the creature will damage you based on the new power, which will likely be zero.

Also, without thinking I typed “Form of the Dragon” first. I’m old.
