It’s time for another Mythic Conscription! This week we’re finishing off the Mercadian Masques block by hitting up Prophecy. There are THREE big cycles that run through the rares in this set, so we’ve got a lot to talk about. This is a really strange one you guys. Like seriously.
Also, Brian tells us about a Grand Prix Trial he went to. And he robots a lot. Sorry about that. He did well though! Yay!
Announcing the Odds & Ends! These are the recordings that are made before and after the podcast proper, both The Mana Pool and Monday Night Magic! They’re going to be completely uncensored and unedited except for personal information and the like, and they’ll be exclusively for Patreon patrons. The first TMP Odds & Ends which comes from this very episode, is going to be public so everyone can see what they’ll be getting (or missing). Let me know what you think! You can find it here:

The video thing is because Facebook’s long term public plan is to usurp YouTube as the number one video sharing site. Expect this to get worse as time goes on.
I’m going to have to reconsider the legendary spellshapers, I guess. One of the first boxes I ever bought was of Prophecy so I got a few of them. Aside from Mageta, who is incredible, I didn’t rate any of the others that highly. Greel’s ability is really powerful, but I figured by the time he comes down, and can use the ability, you might not really net any card advantage against the opponent. And it’s nice to have a blaze every turn from Latulla, but two cards to get it seems steep. Anyway, I’m sure it’s probably just me and I need to play with them more.
It’s possible we were thinking along the lines of having some way to compensate for the two card cost. Or maybe just needing two in a row is all you’d really need to win?
