This episode we are joined by none other than Dr. Science himself, Cluze! He did a Magic Mad Lib with us, which is always fun. Before that, we talked about a bunch of announcements and news and stuff. No really, look at all these announcements and news and stuff we talked about! Well, the links are down there somewhere. I’m sure you’ll find them.
Then we hit the Gatecrash previews, of course. That’s why you’re all here, after all. And we went on about them. And on. And then on some more. Holy crap, the second part of this episode was as long as a normal episode! But we were definitely thorough, and took at least a glance at everything that had been spoiled up to that time. So sit back, enjoy, and let us know what you thought.
Follow Cluze on Twitter @lacluyze – he’s a pretty cool guy. Then go listen to him over at Card Advantage while you’re at it.

Said it before and I’ll say it again: Gabriel Angelfire is neither man, woman, nor even an angel. It is definitely a Gelfling.
Confirmed male angels: Gabriel Angelfire, Malach of the Dawn, Melesse Spirit and Guardian Seraph, marking the only male angel to be used since heavily introducing Archons for male celestial beings.
I had a “woah, really?” moment when you said Guardian Seraph, but then I took another look. The Seraph is definitely woman-shaped, and the flavor text says “Her gaze prevents the petty sins and her sword punishes the rest.”
Then I figured you just made an honest mistake and I searched Gatherer for “Guardian”. I saw Guardian Angel and did a facepalm. I’ve known about that card since the day I started playing, and I can’t believe it’s been slipping my mind every time the topic comes up!
I want to know if anyone else has the same problem with Guardian Seraph’s art that I do. Every time I look at this card I see a floating woman’s torso – she has one arm and one wing. Where are her legs? Why is this art so vague and asymmetrical? Anyone else?
