Epic Experiment doesn't make the spells resolve immediately, it just has you cast them. You make all the choices, pay all the costs (getting a free pass on the mana costs), and put them onto the stack. Your opponent has a chance to respond after Epic Experiment resolves and all the spells are still waiting on the stack.

Quick rules question on this, actually. When will an opponent get a chance to respond to the spells cast by Epic Experiment (if at all)? Would any response have to be to the casting of Epic Experiment itself, before they even know what spells are coming?

I think I've just had the best bad idea for an great awful deck that will win lose me a lot of games: Epic Experiment and Channel. Turn 4, pay 19 life, see what the hell happens. It seems like a very Izzet way to play.

"Is AEther Adept too good?" -Chewie

I for one would not like to see my opponent bounce my newly scavenged beater or, even worse, my populatable token, for three mana and get a guy. Heck, Mist Raven was nuts in AVR limited without being a flying Nekrataal.

I don't know if this is a joke, but I'll respond as if it weren't. If you look at the numbers, you'll see they wrap sequentially around the die, rather than being scattered and opposed in a way that gives a roughly equal numerical weight for any two arbitrarily chosen hemispheres. This arrangement is what makes it a spin-down instead of a standard d20.

The spin-down life counter was a lie. You/we just got a 20-sided die. I believe those are completely different things.

Yeah, that's right except for the Golgari thing. If I remember correctly the necromancer Svogthir was the original Parun, but at the time of Ravnica: City of Guilds the guild leadership was caught in a power struggle between Savra and the Sisters of Stone Death (with Savra having the upper hand and the most influence).
