Peculiar Flavor Roundup – Lord Fabulous

Peculiar Flavor Avatar

Welcome to the Peculiar Flavor Roundup!

Every day at Peculiar Flavor, we bring you rejected flavor text from some of your “favorite” Magic cards. Whether it’s a visual joke, an absurd one-liner, or a response to the real flavor text, it’s guaranteed to make you laugh.* Each Monday on the Roundup, you’ll get to see a few of last week’s, ah… best entries.

As a quick note, in addition to the URL above, Peculiar Flavor can now be found at FlavorText.LOL. It goes to the exact same site, I just thought it’d be fun to have a dedicated domain name.

On this Roundup: Divine Light, Steel Wall, Elvish Ranger, and Indentured Oaf!

Programming Note: The Peculiar Flavor Roundup will be off next week. In the meantime, Rejected Rejected Flavor Text (the jokes so bad, they were rejected twice) will be running at FlavorText.LOL. See you in two weeks!

Divine LightDivine Light:

“Lord Windgrace, I’m trying to get some candid shots here, please stop posing like that every time I point the camera at you. Also, that weird flash thing you’ve got going on behind you is blowing out the picture anyway.” –GQ photographer

Steel Wall

Steel Wall:

“Jokes on them, they forgot to use stainless steel. Grab some garden hoses, boys, we’re gonna rust these effers out!”

Elvish Ranger

Elvish Ranger:

“Blatant sexualization? No, no, I wouldn’t say that, it’s just, uh… artistic. Tell you what, we’ll use the other Elvish Ranger card to even it out.” –WotC Art Director

Indentured Oaf

Indentured Oaf:

“Is it ‘oafs’ or ‘oaves’? I’d ask one of them directly, but I doubt they’d appreciate the linguistic distinction.”
